Our technical SEO audit services find what stops Google from crawling, indexing and ranking your site, then fix it in code. We check indexing, Core Web Vitals, JavaScript rendering, redirects, schema and site architecture. Because our team builds WordPress plugins, CRMs and web apps, you get working fixes, not a 90-page PDF.

Key takeaways

  • A technical audit answers one question first: which of your important pages are not indexed, and why.
  • Core Web Vitals targets are LCP 2.5s or less, INP 200ms or less and CLS 0.1 or less, measured on real users.
  • In Pakistan, slow shared hosting, heavy page builders and nulled plugins cause more problems than exotic issues.
  • Audits are usually a one-time project, priced by site size and complexity, with optional implementation.

What a technical SEO audit is and who needs it

A technical SEO audit is a structured review of how search engines access, render and understand your website. Content and links only work if Google can reach the page, render it, pick the right version and load it fast enough for real users. The audit tests each of those steps and ranks problems by business impact.

Signs you need one

  • Search Console shows many pages as "Crawled, currently not indexed" or "Discovered, currently not indexed".
  • Traffic dropped after a redesign, platform move or domain change.
  • Pages load slowly on mobile and PageSpeed Insights flags poor Core Web Vitals.
  • Your site is built in React, Vue or another JavaScript framework and key content does not appear in Google's cache or the URL Inspection tool.
  • You are planning a redesign or migration and want to protect existing rankings (see our redesign FAQ).

Technical work is one part of our SEO services in Pakistan. A new site with no traffic yet usually needs a lighter launch checklist, covered in our guide on ranking a new website on Google.

What's included in our technical SEO audit services

Audit areas and what we check
AreaWhat we check
Crawlingrobots.txt, crawl depth, orphan pages, server errors, crawl budget waste
IndexingSearch Console page indexing report, canonicals, noindex tags, duplicate content
RenderingJavaScript content visible to Googlebot, lazy-loaded text and links
Speed and Core Web VitalsLCP, INP, CLS from field data; server response time; image and script weight
Architecture and internal linksClick depth, menu structure, broken links, redirect chains
Structured dataOrganization, LocalBusiness, Product, FAQ and Article markup validity
Mobile and securityMobile rendering, HTTPS, mixed content, malware signs
International and languagehreflang for English and Urdu versions, country targeting

Speed targets follow Google's Core Web Vitals documentation: Largest Contentful Paint within 2.5 seconds, Interaction to Next Paint within 200 milliseconds and Cumulative Layout Shift under 0.1. INP replaced First Input Delay as a Core Web Vital in March 2024, as Google announced on its Search Central blog, so older audit templates that still report FID are out of date.

For JavaScript-heavy sites we follow Google's JavaScript SEO basics and test whether server-side rendering or pre-rendering is needed. Stores get extra checks for filters and variants; see our ecommerce SEO service.

What you receive

  • A prioritised issue list: severity, pages affected, the fix and who should do it.
  • A short video walkthrough for non-technical owners.
  • A developer ticket list your team can paste into Jira, Trello or ClickUp.
  • Before-and-after benchmarks for indexing and Core Web Vitals.
  • For new builds, a launch checklist so the website development team ships an SEO-friendly site from day one.

Why a developer-led technical SEO audit matters

Most SEO agencies stop at the report. The fixes then sit with a web developer who has other priorities, or with a freelancer who changes the wrong file. Our team builds WordPress themes and plugins and custom software, so we can change templates, write redirect rules, remove render-blocking scripts and fix schema at source.

An audit that nobody implements is an expense, not an investment. We price the fixes alongside the audit so the client knows the full cost of getting the site healthy.

Our technical audit process

  1. Access and crawl

Search Console, analytics and hosting access; a full crawl with Screaming Frog or Sitebulb; server log review for larger sites.

  2. Diagnose

Match crawl data with Search Console reports and field speed data to find issues that actually affect indexed, revenue-earning pages.

  3. Prioritise

Rank each issue by impact and effort. Indexing blockers come first, cosmetic warnings last.

  4. Fix or hand over

We implement fixes ourselves, or brief your developer with exact changes and test URLs.

  5. Validate

Re-crawl, request validation in Search Console and compare benchmarks after Google recrawls.

For migrations we follow Google's site move guidance: a full URL map, one-to-one 301 redirects, updated sitemaps and monitoring for several weeks after launch.

Pakistan-specific technical SEO considerations

  • Hosting: cheap shared plans often give slow server response and downtime. If your buyers are in the UK or Gulf, server location and a CDN such as Cloudflare matter. See our notes on hosting in Pakistan.
  • Page builders: Elementor and similar builders with many add-ons often load several hundred KB of scripts on every page. We trim, not rebuild, where possible.
  • Nulled themes and plugins: pirated premium plugins are common and a frequent source of spam links and malware injections we find in audits.
  • Mobile-first traffic: most Pakistani visitors browse on mid-range Android phones over 4G, so image weight and script execution matter more than desktop scores.
  • Urdu fonts: Nastaliq web fonts are large; we subset or preload them for Urdu sites, which our Urdu SEO service covers in more depth.
Quick self-check

Run your homepage and one key service or product page through PageSpeed Insights. Look at the field data section, not only the lab score. If field data shows poor LCP or INP, real visitors are affected.

Results and examples

Technical fixes rarely double traffic on their own. They remove the ceiling, so content and links can work. We measure indexed pages, Core Web Vitals pass rate and organic clicks to fixed templates.

Technical SEO audit pricing

Audits are scoped as a one-time project. Price depends on page count, platform, JavaScript rendering and if you want us to implement fixes. As a rough guide, a 30-page WordPress service site takes a fraction of the time a 5,000-URL store or a custom React app does.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a technical SEO audit cost?

It depends on site size and complexity. A small WordPress site is a short project; a large store or JavaScript app needs more crawl analysis and testing. We quote a fixed price after seeing your site and Search Console data, and price implementation separately so you can choose to have your own developer apply the fixes. Monthly technical upkeep is included in our SEO retainers.

How long does a technical SEO audit take?

A site under 100 URLs usually takes about one to two weeks from access to final report. Larger stores and custom apps can take three to four weeks, mainly because of rendering tests and log analysis. Fixes take extra time depending on scope. Google then needs to recrawl, so expect changes in Search Console over the following weeks rather than days.

What do you need from me to start?

We need Search Console and GA4 access, a WordPress admin or staging login (or repository access for custom builds), hosting or Cloudflare access if speed work is in scope, and a list of your most valuable pages. Tell us about any redesigns, plugin changes or traffic drops and their dates. That history often points straight to the cause.
