Mobile App Development Company in Pakistan
Android and iOS apps built in Flutter or native code by a Lahore team, from first wireframe to Play Store and App Store approval.

Digital-Marketing.pk is a mobile app development company in Pakistan building Android and iOS apps for businesses, startups and overseas clients from Gulberg III, Lahore. We design, build, test and publish, then support the app after launch. Most projects use Flutter for one shared codebase, and you own the code, store accounts and data.
Key takeaways
- Flutter lets one codebase ship to Android and iOS, which usually cuts build and maintenance cost compared with two native apps.
- Published Pakistani ranges for apps run from a few hundred thousand rupees for simple apps into the millions for complex platforms; scope sets the price.
- Store publishing is part of the job: new personal Google Play accounts must run a 14-day closed test with at least 12 testers, and Apple requires a D-U-N-S number for organisations.
- Apps are registered under your Google Play and Apple developer accounts, not ours.
- We connect apps to JazzCash, Easypaisa, WhatsApp, maps and your CRM or ERP.
What our app development services include
An app is only as useful as the system behind it. A food business needs an ordering app, a rider app and a kitchen dashboard. A housing society needs a buyer app that shows instalments pulled from its software. We build the full stack: mobile front end, admin panel, APIs and the database, so the app does real work instead of acting as a brochure.

Every app we ship comes with a web admin panel for your team. Common integrations include JazzCash and Easypaisa payments, card gateways for overseas users, Google Maps, Firebase push notifications, SMS OTP from local providers, and WhatsApp and CRM integration so orders and leads reach your sales team instantly. When the app is part of a larger system, our custom software development team builds the shared back end.
Our app development process, step by step
Apps fail in Pakistan for predictable reasons: unclear scope, poor testing on budget Android phones, and store rejections nobody planned for. Our process handles all three.
- Discovery and app scope
We define users, core journeys, features for version one, integrations and success metrics such as orders, bookings or active users.
- UX wireframes and UI design
Figma screens for each journey, tested on the phone sizes your customers actually use, including Urdu text where needed.
- Architecture and estimate
Stack choice (Flutter or native), API design, hosting plan and a milestone-based estimate attached to the contract.
- Sprint development with test builds
Two-week sprints. You install test builds on your own phone through internal testing or TestFlight and give feedback early.
- QA on real devices
Testing on low-end and flagship Android phones and iPhones, weak 3G/4G connections, and interrupted payments.
- Store submission and approval
Store listing, screenshots, privacy policy and data-safety forms, closed testing and review responses for Google Play and the App Store.
- Launch, analytics and support
Crash reporting, analytics events, monthly OS-compatibility updates and a roadmap for version two.
Google requires personal developer accounts created after 13 November 2023 to run a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in for 14 continuous days before production access. Build those two weeks into your launch date, or publish through an organisation account.
What to prepare before you commission an app
The fastest app projects we run start with a client who has done a little homework. None of this needs technical knowledge, and it can cut weeks from discovery.
- One sentence on the job the app does. For example: let existing customers reorder in two taps, or let buyers check their instalment balance without calling the office.
- Who uses it. Customers, riders, vendors, staff or parents. Each user type usually means separate screens or a separate app.
- How you will get users. Existing customers, WhatsApp lists, in-store QR codes or paid campaigns. An app with no launch plan rarely gets past a few hundred installs.
- What it must connect to. Your website, POS, accounts software, courier or payment gateway.
- Business documents for store accounts. For an Apple organisation account you need a legal entity, a D-U-N-S number, a domain email and a working website, which can take weeks to arrange.
- A realistic first version. Pick the three features that matter most and park the rest for version two.
If you are not sure an app is needed at all, say so. For many Pakistani small businesses, a fast mobile website plus WhatsApp marketing delivers most of the value at a fraction of the cost, and an app can follow once repeat customers ask for one.
Tech stack: Flutter, native and when to use each
| Approach | Best for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Flutter | Most business, ecommerce and booking apps | Very heavy 3D or niche native SDKs may need extra work |
| Native Kotlin / Swift | Device-heavy apps, complex media, platform-specific features | Two codebases, higher cost |
| React Native | Teams already invested in JavaScript/React | Performance tuning on low-end Android |
| Progressive web app | Internal tools, quick pilots | Limited store presence and device access |
Decision table for common Pakistani app types
| Use-case | Our usual pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Ecommerce app with COD and wallets | Flutter | Same UI on Android and iOS; JazzCash and Easypaisa flows run through web checkout or SDKs |
| Housing society or school parent app | Flutter | Mostly forms, statements and notices; one codebase keeps yearly upkeep low |
| Food delivery with rider tracking | Flutter, native modules for background location | Background GPS on cheap Android phones needs careful native tuning |
| Field-sales app used offline in rural areas | Flutter with local database | Works on weak signal and syncs when connected |
| Video, camera or AR-heavy app | Native Kotlin and Swift | Direct access to device hardware and media pipelines |
| Startup already running a React web app | React Native | Shares skills and some logic with the existing web team |
| Internal staff tool, quick pilot | Progressive web app | No store review; installs from the browser |
Device mix matters in Pakistan. A large share of your users will be on budget Android phones with limited storage, so we keep app size small, avoid heavy animations on low-end devices and test on the phones your customers actually carry, not only on the developer's flagship. iOS users are fewer locally but often more valuable for premium brands and overseas audiences, which is another reason a shared Flutter codebase is usually the sensible default.
For a detailed comparison, read Flutter vs React Native. Back ends usually run on Laravel or Node.js with MySQL or PostgreSQL, hosted on AWS or DigitalOcean, with Firebase for push notifications and crash reporting.
Store rules change every year. Google Play now requires new apps and updates to target Android 16 (API level 36) from 31 August 2026, so an app that nobody maintains will eventually be blocked from updates. That is why we recommend a support plan for every live app.

App development packages and pricing in Pakistan
Published Pakistani prices vary widely because app scopes do. One Lahore software house lists PKR 200,000 to 500,000 for an Android and iOS app, while an industry guide from IDT Pakistan puts simple apps at PKR 300,000 to 800,000, medium apps at PKR 800,000 to 2.5 million, and complex apps above PKR 5 million. The gap mostly reflects back end complexity, number of user types and integrations. Our app development cost in Pakistan guide explains each driver.
| Tier | Typical scope | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | One user type, 8–12 screens, admin panel, push notifications | [Add your PKR price] |
| Growth | Customer + admin, payments, maps or booking, CRM sync | [Add your PKR price] |
| Scale | Multi-app platform (customer, rider/vendor, admin), real-time tracking, APIs | [Add your PKR price] |
| Support plan | OS and store-policy updates, crash fixes, small changes | [Add your PKR price] |
Store fees are separate and paid by you: Google Play charges a US$25 one-time registration fee and Apple charges 99 USD per membership year. Apple organisation accounts also need a D-U-N-S number and a working company website, which takes time to arrange. Related pricing: software development cost and website development price.
App maintenance and post-launch costs
Launch is the start of an app's cost, not the end. Phones get new operating systems every year, store policies change, and third-party SDKs for payments, maps and notifications release updates that older apps stop supporting. An app nobody looks after starts crashing on new devices within months and is eventually blocked from publishing updates.
For budgeting, a common Pakistani benchmark for software maintenance is 15 to 20 percent of the original build cost per year. As a rough planning figure we apply the same range to apps, then adjust for how often you want new features. Recurring third-party costs come on top.
| Cost line | Who pays | How it is billed |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Developer Program | You | 99 USD per membership year |
| Google Play registration | You | US$25 once |
| Cloud hosting and database | You, via your account | Monthly, usually in USD |
| Push, SMS OTP, maps, email APIs | You | Usage-based |
| Payment gateway fees | You | Per transaction, set by the provider |
| OS and store-policy updates | Covered by support plan | Monthly or per release |
| New features | Quoted separately | Per scope or sprint |
Who is responsible for what after launch
- You: developer accounts, store payments, privacy policy accuracy, responding to user reviews, and approving releases.
- Us, on a support plan: crash monitoring, compatibility updates for new Android and iOS versions, target API upgrades, SDK updates, security patches, backups and monthly reporting.
- Shared: release planning, analytics review and deciding what goes into version two.
Whether the client can log in to the Google Play Console and App Store Connect, whether the signing key is safely stored, and whether the source code builds. Losing an Android upload key without Play App Signing enabled can make updating the existing listing very difficult.
Results and case studies
We will publish app case studies with client permission, store links and verified metrics.

An app download is cheap. A customer who opens the app a second time is the real result. We design version one around the one action that brings people back, then add features based on usage data.

Frequently asked questions
How much do app development services cost in Pakistan?
Published Pakistani ranges start around PKR 200,000 to 500,000 for a simpler Android and iOS app, with industry guides placing medium apps at PKR 800,000 to 2.5 million and complex platforms above PKR 5 million. Back end complexity, user types and integrations drive the price. Store fees, hosting and yearly maintenance are extra.
How soon will I see results?
You see designs in the first weeks and installable test builds after the first two-week sprint. A focused app typically reaches the stores in two to four months, including review time and, for new personal Google Play accounts, a 14-day closed test. Business results depend on launch marketing and usually show in the first few months after release.
Do you work with clients outside Pakistan?
Yes. We build apps for clients in the USA, UK, UAE, Dubai, Australia, Germany and wider Europe, as well as across Pakistan. Overseas clients get English documentation, overlapping meeting hours, IP assigned to them in the contract, and apps published under their own Apple and Google developer accounts.
Will I get monthly reports?
Yes. During development you receive a test build each sprint and a monthly written report on completed features, open issues and budget. After launch, support-plan reports cover crash rates, store review status, OS updates applied, and requests handled, plus key analytics such as active users if tracking is enabled.
How much does it cost to maintain an app each year?
As a planning figure, budget around 15 to 20 percent of the original build cost per year, the benchmark Pakistani software houses publish for maintenance. On top of that come Apple's 99 USD yearly fee, hosting billed monthly, and usage-based costs such as SMS OTP, push notifications and maps. Apps with frequent new features need a larger monthly budget.
Can you take over an app another developer built?
Yes, after a short technical audit. We check that you control the store accounts and signing keys, that the code builds, which libraries are outdated, and whether the back end is documented. You then get a written report with risks, an estimate to stabilise the app, and the option of a monthly support plan.
Flutter or native: which should I choose?
Choose Flutter for most business, booking and ecommerce apps because one codebase serves Android and iOS, which lowers build and maintenance cost. Choose native Kotlin or Swift when the app depends heavily on device hardware, complex media or platform-specific features. We recommend an approach after scoping, not before.
Who owns the app and the store listing?
You do. We publish under your Google Play and Apple developer accounts, keep the code in a repository you control, and assign intellectual property to you once milestones are paid. If you do not have developer accounts yet, we guide you through registration and verification.
